The 2011 browser miner (proto-Qubic)

Eight days after joining BitcoinTalk, CFB was already building a system to harvest strangers' browsers for computation — the 2002 article, made real.

The thread. Come-from-Beyond registered on BitcoinTalk on 22 November 2011. On 30 November 2011 he posted: “I’m working on a project that is intended to be used to sell/buy computing power of web-browsers. There was a LTC-miner developed to prove the concept.”

Points toward Satoshi

This is the 2002 distributed-computing article executed — harvest idle machines, use a cryptocurrency miner as the proof of concept. It shows a man who came to crypto not to speculate but to use it as fuel for a bigger machine. The continuity from 2002 → 2011 → Qubic is one long, single project — the mark of someone who treats currencies as scaffolding, which is exactly what Satoshi did by walking away.

In mid-2012 he even framed it oddly: “I’ve got an order to launch a new cryptocoin.” An order — from whom?

Points against

This is 2011, after Satoshi vanished (late 2010). It proves vision and continuity, not that he was there at the beginning. If anything, a man building his “real project” in 2011 might be doing so precisely because he wasn’t Satoshi and was starting fresh.

Weight

Excellent for the “money was never the point” motive. Neutral-to-weak on placing him at Bitcoin’s creation.
