Leans toward Satoshi1 min read

He ran the Satoshi playbook again — as BCNext

In 2013 CFB invented an anonymous founder, shipped a currency, then deliberately deleted the persona — promising to return "under his real name." Sound familiar?

The thread. NXT was launched in 2013 by an anonymous figure called BCNext — who was Come-from-Beyond. Read how he ended the persona, in his own farewell essay:

“Nxt is just a work-around… an experiment that was supposed to show if the society is ready for the main project of BCNext.” “BCNext went for good… One day he will come back with his main project under his real name.” “Don’t try to find real identity of BCNext… BCNext has never existed, this sockpuppet was created only for Nxt and will never appear again.”

Points toward Satoshi

This is the Satoshi maneuver, performed a second time in public: invent an anonymous founder, ship a working system, frame it as a temporary step toward a greater project, then vanish and forbid the search. The NXT genesis even opened with a line from Orwell’s 1984 — just as Bitcoin’s genesis carried a newspaper headline.

It proves CFB is demonstrably capable of being a vanishing anonymous founder — that he is almost a connoisseur of the form. That makes him a far more plausible Satoshi candidate than a random name.

Points against

Capability is not identity. Doing the maneuver in 2013 shows he admires and repeats the pattern — it does not prove he was the first to do it. Arguably, a true Satoshi wouldn’t need to “rehearse” it again.

Weight

The strongest circumstantial thread on the site. Motive and method, vividly demonstrated — but still not a smoking gun.
